Many people see yoga as a form of workout or physical exercise of flexibility and/or strength. This is often a deterrent to someone beginning a practice. I myself took years to finally come to the mat because of the fear that I wasn't "fit enough" to do yoga.

In my yoga teaching and personal practice I focus on the asana (or physical postures) as a way to still the mind, release anxiety, and find a way to more carefully align the mind and the physical body.

The focus of my teaching and practice is on finding inner calm and clarity through physical movement.

I believe the yoga that is best for each individual differs, but there is a form of yoga for everyone. Ultimately we all need to find a practice that challenges but does not strain us. Every body is different and through my private sessions and group classes I work to help each person find a form of yoga practice that works best for them.

My teaching comes from a strengths-based perspective. You already have the ability, the right body type, and mental motivation to achieve what you want through your practice. Together we can work to help you realize the potential that already lies within.

My teaching is body-positive and meant for all levels of previous yoga experience. I also strive to create a space where all gender stereotypes are left at the door.

All levels of comfort are accommodated.

My teaching, whether individually or in a class setting, strives to create a safe space for people of all genders and sexual orientations.
